Sorobon Beach Resort is a naturist resort situated on the tiny Caribbean island of Bonaire, gently cooled by the constant trade winds. A shallow bay is protected by a barrier reef, making it ideal for swimming, snorkeling, sailing and windsurfing. Sorobon Beach Resort has the only nudist beach on the island, completely private, equipped with shelters made of palm tree branches and with beach chairs. Guaranteed all over sun tanning! Above all things, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Sorobon Beach has 30 chalets, all with ocean views. The chalets are fitted with all conveniences; bedroom with a queensize bed, ceiling fan, wardrobe, in-room safe, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, electric fans, bed / settee and armchairs. The spacious terrace is furnished with deck-chairs and a wooden bench and dining table. Maid service and fresh towels six days a week. Beach towels and linens are provided.

We have snorkel equipment. For relaxation and fun we have a jeu de boules court. There is also an extensive library with books in different languages and barbecue or Antillean night every week. Massage and yoga for your complete relaxation. There is also a shop with a small range of souvenirs, beach and food items. You can rent a car at the resort for sightseeing or going out for dinner. Several times per week we have a free shopping trip to town. Free airport pick-up. Sorobon is an eco-resort. Warm water is generated by solar energy and is recycled and used for the gardens in a natural setting. We always try to use natural products and materials.


ACOMMODATIONS

There are 28 one bedroom chalets, one two bedroom unit and one three bedroom house. All of them are grouped into two crescents facing Lac Bay and the Caribbean Sea. No chalet is more than 50 yards from the sea.

All chalets are fitted with all conveniences; bedroom with a queensize bed, ceiling fan, wardrobe, in-room safe, bathroom, electric fans, bed/settee and armchairs. Chalets number 20 and 23 have extended porches. Ideal for families with children.The kitchen is fully equipped with toaster, stove, fridge, juicer, coffeemachine. Microwave and blender available upon request. The spacious terrace is furnished with deck-chairs and a wooden bench and dining table. All terraces are facing the sea.We try to use only natural products.Maid service and fresh towels six days a week. Beach towels and linens are inclusive.

All bedrooms are airconditioned and available from 7pm to 7amaircondition in all bedrooms, available from 7 pm till 7 am.

One of the double chalets nr. 22 is a two bedroom two bathroom unit with a large sitting room and an extended porch.Ideal for a family or two couples.

Cas Grandi nr. 21 is a two floor house - with a spacious living room and kitchen upstairs. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the bottom level. A large porch surrounds the house on both levels. The third deck gives a spectacular view over Lac Bay. This is a perfect place for star gazing. Maximum 7 persons. Fits very well for families with children.


Activities

Wondering what to at the beautiful Sorobon Beach Resort - - that is besides relaxing in your own tropical hammock? The activities are many.

If you do not feel like walking all the way towards the reef, you can use one of our kayaks. The kayaks are located on the beach. You can also take the kayak out and explore the mangroves of Lac Bay. The mangroves, an important part of the ecosystem of Bonaire, will lead you through the pathways under the canopied growth allowing you to observe the varied wildlife. You will find yourself in a complete different world, with no other sounds than the sound of the waves and the beautiful birds of Bonaire. The paddles can be found at the reception desk. Kayaking is free of charge.

The shallow bay is protected by a barrier reef, which makes it an ideal place for snorkeling, kayaking and windsurfing. The beach of Sorobon is a part of Lac Bay, which has a depth of about 4 feet until the reef, which makes swimming a little difficult. You can literally walk on the sandy bottom nearly a mile towards the reef without even getting your shoulders wet.

We do suggest wearing water shoes, because of sharp corals, which can hurt your feet. Do not forget to put on sun cream, also when you are snorkeling! The whole Lac Bay area is Nature Protected Marine Park. Therefore, motorboats are not allowed in this area. Sorobon is an ideal place to snorkel. The water is shallow with lots of fish. Snorkel equipment can be rented at the reception. You can also buy snorkel equipment.
