What is a "flirt"?
A flirt is a shy way of saying "Hi, we think you're hot!". Less formal than an email, and easy to send.
I see an icon with hearts flowing out of test tubes, what does that mean?
If you and they have each flirted one another then there must be chemistry between you! So the mad scientist of carnal desire has granted you the heart crossed test tubes.
Someone flirted us and we're not really interested in them, is it impolite to not respond?
No need to respond at all. Flirts are a casual way of saying "we're interested" and not as formal as an email. So if you don't feel the same then just let it slide, no worries or regrets.
